Arizona State
: Holds the ASU, collegiate indoor and NCAA Championships meet record in the shot put with a toss of 71-03.50 (21.73m) at the 2008 meet... took over the school records in the outdoor shot put and discus in 2009 with marks of 20.99m (68-10.50) and 62.08m (203-08), respectively... both marks surpassed records established by Gary Williky in 1982... was selected as the 2008 USTFCCCA Men's Indoor National Field Athlete of the Year following his huge toss... five-time All-American after adding two honors in the shot put and one in the discus during 2008 season...

2009 Outdoor: Completed the sweep of the shot put national titles by winning his first outdoor crown with a toss of 20.11m (65-11.75)... won the shot put in every college event he entered, including the Pac-10 and West region meets... broke 27 year-old school records in the shot put and discus with tosses of 20.99m (68-10.50) and 62.08m (203-08), respectively... hit the record mark in the shot put to win the West Region... hit the discus mark at the Gary Shaw Big Throws meet... was the NCAA runner-up in the discus with a toss of 59.80m (196-02)... was the event leader until the final round and was defeated by three inches... placed ninth in the shot put at the USA Championships and 18th in the discus... his mark of 20.99m (68-10.50) stood as the 10th-best in the world during the 2009 outdoor season... his discus mark of 60.73m (199-3) ranked as the 11th-best among all Americans in 2009... also tried his hand at the hammer and recorded a best mark of 55.80m (183-1) at the Sun Angel Track Classic... ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Second Team and All-District VIII First Team honoree... USTFCCCA All-Academic selection... earned Second Team Academic All-Pac-10 honors...

2009 Indoor: Successfully defended his indoor shot put crown... ranked No. 1 in the NCAA throughout the season... won all three meets he entered in the shot put... won the national title with a toss of 20.16m (66-01.75)... also won the MPSF Championship with a toss of 20.01m (65-07.75), the first toss by any athlete over 20m on the season... tried his hand at the weight throw at the MPSF Championships and placed 13th in his first competition... earned Academic All-MPSF honors...

2008 Outdoor: Picked up All-America honors in both the shot put and discus at the national meet... was edged on the final throw of the competition in the shot put and finished second nationally while placing ninth in the discus... took second in the shot put and sixth in the discus at the Pac-10 Championships... won the NCAA West Region shot put title and was sixth in the discus... named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Second Team after earning First Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII...Second Team Academic All-Pac-10 selection... following the season, competed for Team USA at the NACAC Under-23 Championships and won the shot put while taking second in the discus...

2008 Indoor: Won his first national title by taking the shot put with an ASU, collegiate indoor and NCAA Championships meet record toss of 73-01.50 (21.73m)... won all four of his shot put competitions and raised the school record all four times... broke 70-feet for the first time by winning the MPSF Championships (70-05.25/21.47m)... for his efforts, was selected as the 2008 USTFCCCA Men's Indoor National Field Athlete of the Year... earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors and was selected as the 2008 USTFCCCA Men's Division I Indoor Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year...

2007 Outdoor: Earned his second All-America honor of the year by finishing fourth in the shot put with a toss of 19.38m (63-07.00) at the NCAA Championships... placed second in the West Region and third in the Pac-10 Championships... earned Pac-10 Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors (April 22) after winning the Sun Angel Classic with a national-leading toss of 20.07m (65-10.25) and winning the discus (57.48m)... also won the shot put at the Triton Invitational and Double Dual... his Double Dual winning toss of 20.35m (66-09.25) ranks second all-time at ASU... nearly scored in the discus at the conference level, finishing ninth... placed 15th at the USA Championships in the shot put (18.53m)... selected to the Academic All-Pac-10 Second Team...

2007 Indoor: Garnered his first All-America honor by placing third in the shot put with a school-record toss of 20.01m (65-07.75) at the NCAA Championships... won three shot put titles on the year, including the MPSF Championship for his first league title... broke Jim Camp's 21-year-old school record in the shot put with his toss of 19.89m (65-03.25) to win the Mountain `T' Invitational... earned USTFCCCA All-Academic and Academic All-MPSF honors...

2006 Track: Redshirted... away from Arizona State, competed in several events unattached, winning two indoor shot put events (Lumberjack Invitational in Flagstaff and the Boilermaker Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind.)... placed eighth in the shot put at the USA Indoor Championships with a then-personal best indoor mark of 19.36m (63-06.25)... won three events outdoors, including the Wildcat Invitational (Tucson) and the Baldy Castillo and ASU Invitational in Tempe... record a then-personal best toss of 19.75m (64-11.75) while placing third at the Arizona International in Tucson... also competed several times in the discus, winning the event at the Baldy Castillo Invitational and the Sun Angel Classic... recorded a PR of 59.44m (195-00) at an event in Chula Vista, Calif., on June 16... one of only several individuals to qualify for the shot put and discus at the USA Outdoor Championships where he placed 13th in the discus and 18th in the shot put... ended the 2006 season ranked No. 65 in shot put and No. 89 in the discus according to the IAAF World Ranking lists.

High School: A 2005 graduate of Central Dauphin High School (Harrisburg, Pa.)...selected as the 2005 Gatorade National Male Track and Field Athlete of the Year... competed at the 2005 USATF Junior National Championships, won the shot put with a meet record throw of 19.74m (64-9.25) and finished second in the discus with a toss of 55.56m (182-03)...advanced to the 2005 Pan-American games where he won both events...won shot put gold with a throw of 19.75m (64-9.50)...followed that with victory in the discus with a meet-record mark of 61.40m...Golden West Athlete of the Meet...first-team all-state four times...fourth on the all-time indoor shot put list in Pennsylvania...10-times selected All-American...holds records in shot put and discus at the school, Mid-Penn, district and state levels...2005 indoor national champion in the shot put...Track and Field News ranked him the top throwing recruit in the nation...lettered in track and field four times and was named team captain his final three years.
