OREGON HEAD COACH JODY RUNGE
"I think we did a good job defensively tonight. Arizona State was ready to play. They did a nice job with their press. I thought we handled the press pretty well, but in the front court we weren't aggressive enough."
"It's an outstanding effort on their part to be prepared for us and nixed our game plan."
"Obviously I felt good about getting the win, and I think it wen't back to our defense and getting the job done there. I still think we have a lot of things to work on. We didn't have a great performance tonight defensively. We let the drive break us down and the post defense wasn't very good. We've got to keep working on those things."
"I think Nicole has been playing very well and Lisa has been playing very well also. It's hard to come out of the starting line-up and come off the bench, but these kids have been handling that extremely well. She has done that for us in Lisa's absence and has hit the big shots. She has a lot of confidence."
ARIZONA STATE HEAD COACH CHARLI TURNER
On Arizona State:
"Tonight's game definitely showed how much our team has improved. We played a lot better against Oregon on their home floor-which is one of the toughest places to play-then we played against them on our own floor. The loss by five shows progress in our program."
"During the last few possessions we just hesitated and got stripped. It all comes down to offensive execution. We need to be more confident and execute."
"I loved the energy and effort that our team showed tonight."
On Oregon's Depth: "For a lot of teams you talk about key players, but Oregon is a ten deep team and they all can score."
