TEMPE – The Arizona State University cross country team competed in the 2010 Pac-10 Cross Country Championships with a pair of individuals earning conference honors while leading their teams at the meet that was hosted by Washington at Jefferson Golf Course in Seattle on Saturday morning. Lindsay Prescott placed ninth overall to earn First Team All-Pac-10 honors while Ben Engelhardt placed 14th for the men for the second year in a row to earn Second Team All-Pac-10 honors.

In the team standings, the men finished fifth overall with 143 points while No. 1 Stanford won the team title with 25 points. The Top 3 was rounded out by No. 3 Oregon taking second (56 points) and No. 22 California in third (86). With the team finishes, the State Farm Territorial Cup Series standings remain tied as the UA women and ASU men earned one point each based upon a higher finish than their rival at the Pac-10 meet to bring the overall scoring to 2-2. With ASU winning the soccer match and UA volleyball sweeping the two-match series, both teams entered the cross country meet with one point apiece. The next meeting in the Series will come on December 3 in Tucson when the football teams meet one another for the Territorial Cup.

The Sun Devils will return to action in two weeks at the Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Ore., as the take part in the 2010 NCAA West Region Championships hosted by Oregon. The meet, which is one of nine regional events throughout the country, will be used as the selection tool for the NCAA Championships.
