TEMPE, Ariz. Junior lefty Ryan Mills (Scottsdale, Arizona) was honored as a National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball and The Sporting News for his performance against then-No. 3 Southern California.

Mills, going against USC's Seth Etherton, struck out a season-high 15 batters as he picked up his fifth win of the season. Mills went 8.0 innings, allowing only three hits, five walks and 15 K's. The 15 stikeouts by USC batters was the most since 1992 for the Trojans.

Mills is 5-3 with a 4.28 ERA over 13 starts. In 75.2 innings pitched, he has 98 strikeouts.
