TEMPE, Ariz. - Junior lefthander Brian Flores and sophomore catcher Kiel Roling have been named College Baseball Foundation National Honor Roll Players of the Week. Flores and Roling are the third and fourth Sun Devils to be honored by the CBF, joining Matt Spencer and Petey Paramore, who both earned the distinction earlier this season

Flores, from Carlsbad, N.M, went 2-0 over spring break, including a complete game against Kansas State. He allowed only ten hits and two runs, one earned, over his two starts, while striking out 12.

Roling had a monster week at the plate, helping lead the Devils to a 6-0 record. The Grand Junction, Colo. Product went 12-20 (.600) while driving in 15 runs over the five games he played in. He scored 11 times, drew two walks and had seven extra base hits, including two home runs. He went 5-5 and had eight RBI in the second game of a doubleheader on March 17, one shy of the school record. He also scored six times, tying a school mark.

Established as a 501(c)(3) charitable educational organization, the CBF hopes to not only catalog the sports' history within its' newly announced College Baseball Hall of Fame, but to provide an aggressive and enduring advocacy for the college game. It views its primary mission as fostering an appreciation of the historical development of college baseball and its impact on our culture, and increasing public awareness, exposure and generating additional opportunities for college baseball.
