CORVALLIS, Ore.- Arizona State Volleyball defeated the Oregon State Beavers in their second meeting of the season in the 3-1 (25-21,23-25,25-20,25-20) win over the Beavers. The Sun Devils completed the sweep of the Oregon schools with the back-to-back wins over the Ducks and Beavers.

Four Sun Devils tallied up double-digit kills in the win for the first time this season. Sophomore Macey Gardner led the way with a double-double consisting of 17 kills and 12 digs. ASU would come within a pair in multiple situations, but the front line of Oregon State would be reverse any kill attempts for the Sun Devils with a stuff. Down four late in the second, Arizona State put the pressure back on with a 3-0 run that included a pair of kills and block by Follette tagged along with McCready’s fourth block on the night that forced a timeout from the Oregon State bench. Despite the efforts from the Sun Devils, a Zimmerman kill ended the set heading into the break.

The third frame would have the Sun Devils and Beavers taking turns for the lead before the Binns kill began the breakaway 4-0 run for ASU. The Sun Devils would extend the lead by five points, 20-15, before Oregon State attempted to chip away at the lead, before two-straight kills from Bailey moved the Sun Devils into the fourth match with a 2-1 lead.

ASU would be in control of the lead the entirety of the final frame, with the Sun Devils going up early, The Beavers would come within two, 19-17, before Gardner and the lethal swing extended the lead. Bailey would follow suit with two kills before Binns and Tuioti-Mariner closed the match out for the Sun Devils.
