Tempe, Ariz. – The No. 25 Arizona State volleyball team kicked off its 2014-15 season with the annual Maroon and Gold scrimmage Saturday afternoon, with the Gold team winning the intersquad match 20-25, 25-20, 19-17.
Following the match, several Sun Devil players offered their advice and expertise at a free Kids Clinic for over 50 children who attended the scrimmage. Nearly 500 fans came out and showed support for ASU on Saturday.
The Sun Devils will play their first game of the season on August 29, when they take on San Diego State in Manoa, Hawaii as part of the Chevron Rainbow Wahine Invitational. ASU will open the home slate on Thursday, Sept. 4, hosting Canada’s Mount Royal University at 7 p.m. PT.
