TEMPE, Ariz. -- Past Sun Devil baseball greats will converge on the Arizona Biltmore Adobe Golf Course on Friday, Nov. 3 for the annual Arizona State Baseball Alumni Golf Tournament.
Former ASU standouts such as Don Wakamatsu (1982-85), Ken Phelps (1975-76), 1999 All-American Andrew Beinbrink (1996-99), 1999 Pac-10 Player of the Year and current Seattle Mariner prospect Willie Bloomquist (1997-99) and former ASU head coach Bobby Winkles (1959-71) are just a few of the names comprising the 144-player field.
"This is a great way for our alums to come together, enjoy each other's company and reminisce," says ASU head coach Pat Murphy. "Each of these players helped create one of the greatest and richest traditions in college baseball. Our rich history starts with them."
Tournament play gets underway with a 12:30 .m. shotgun start. The event is open to all interested golfers. For more information or for details regarding registration, please call McKenna Calkins in the ASU baseball office at (480) 965-3677.
