TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State baseball has been selected as one of 16 regional host sites for the 2011 NCAA Baseball Championships, the NCAA announced. ASU will open play Friday against New Mexico. Arkansas will take on Charlotte in the other game. The Tempe Regional is matched up with the Austin Regional, hosted by the University of Texas.

The four-team, double-elimination regional will be played at Winkles Field-Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark on the ASU campus June 3 through June 6. The No. 1 seed Arizona State will play the No. 4 seed New Mexico and the No. 2 seed Arkansas will play the No. 3 seed Charlotte starting Friday.

Arkansas and Charlotte will begin play on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., with ASU and New Mexico following at 7 p.m. Arizona time. Game times Saturday are also 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., with Sunday's game times being 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Arizona time. If there is a game on Monday, it will begin at 6:30 p.m. Arizona time.
