Baseball Bloodlines: Teams with his brother Beau to become the sixth set of brothers to suit up at the same time in ASU history.2010 (Sophomore): Had an outstanding second season in Tempe, earning First Team All-Pac-10 honors and All-West Region honors from the ABCA...was the only Sun Devil to play and start in all 62 games, splitting time between shortstop and left field...hit .326 (85-261)...hit five home runs, including his first career one at Oregon on April 1, the only run of the ball game...homered twice in the Pac-10 title clinching win at Stanford on May 29...drove in 41 runs...stole a Pac-10 leading 36 bases...also drew 36 walks...hit the game-winning home run in Game Two of the Tempe Super Regional, beating Arkansas and sending ASU to Omaha...was a 15th round selection of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2010 MLB Draft.
2009 (Freshman): An honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection, took over the starting shortstop job midway through the season and never relinquished it...appeared in 61 games, starting 49...scored 63 runs, the most ever by a Sun Devil freshman...also stole 21 bases, breaking the record held by Barry Bonds and Steve Garrabrants for most ever by a freshman at ASU. The old record was 16...went 56-181 (.309) with 34 RBI...drew 40 walks...his 63 runs scored were tied for second most in the Pac-10...trailed only teammate Jason Kipnis (27) in stolen bases in the Pac-10...his five triples were tied for fourth most in the conference.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, Ariz...earned letters in baseball as well as football...high school teammates with fellow Devil Riccio Torrez...part of team that went to state title game and finished the season ranked No. 6 in the nation by Baseball America in 2007...also a standout football player...named all-state and all-region as a junior and senior...helped Brophy to a state championship on the gridiron in 2007.
