TEMPE, Ariz. - Season tickets starting at only $49 are now on sale for the Sun Devil women's basketball team's 2013-14 home slate. The non-conference portion of the home schedule is highlighted by back-to-back games against 2013 NCAA Tournament participants Miami (Dec. 21) and Syracuse (Dec. 30).
"We have a really challenging home schedule this season, but we know it's one that our fans are really going to enjoy," said Sun Devil head coach Charli Turner Thorne, who will be entering her 17th season at ASU. "We are also excited about the introduction of our $49 general admission season ticket. It's great to be able to offer that affordable option to our fan base."
The Sun Devils will open their 2013-14 campaign on Sat., Nov. 9 when they host 2013 WNIT participant Hawaii. ASU will then have back-to-back road games at San Diego (2013 WNIT Participant) on Nov. 13 and at Texas Tech (2013 NCAA Tournament participant) on Nov. 17. The Sun Devils will return home to face Providence on Nov. 23 before travelling to Cancun, Mexico, for a Thanksgiving weekend tournament (Nov. 27-30) that will include games against Arkansas State, Illinois (2013 WNIT participant) and North Carolina (2013 NCAA Tournament participant).
The Sun Devils will start the month of December by hosting the ASU Classic Dec. 7-8. All three of this year's ASU Classic participants - Harvard, Long Beach State and Sacred Heart - qualified for the WNIT last season. ASU will then travel to Fullerton, Calif., for a Dec. 14 game against Cal State Fullerton, before rounding out its non-conference schedule with the aforementioned contests against Miami and Syracuse.
The Pac-12 portion of ASU's schedule will be announced later this summer.
