Women's FinishLynx Top 30 | Men's MONDO Top 30

TEMPE, Ariz. - The past two weeks have been historic for the Arizona State cross country programs. One week removed from the Sun Devil men earning their highest national ranking in program history, the women have tied their program mark as they were ranked No. 3 in the latest FinishLynx Top 30 poll.

The women opened the season at No. 19 and moved to No. 20 before going out and winning the Roy Griak Invitational (Sept. 27) in Minneapolis, Minn., for the second time in three years. Following the win, which included a team finish higher than three teams ranked above them, the voters vaulted ASU to No. 4, one spot lower than the school record No. 3 earned in 2001.

The men, after not being ranked for the first two weeks of the season, placed fifth at the Griak meet and defeated six nationally ranked opponents. One week later, the MONDO Top 30 poll was released with the Sun Devils not only earning their first ranking of the season at No. 13, but also the program's highest position in the poll. This week, the men remained at No. 13.

ASU returns to action at home next Friday when it plays host to the Arizona State Invitational at Kiwanis Park in Tempe. The women's 6,000m run starts at 4:45 p.m. and the men's 8,000m race at 5:15 p.m.
