TEMPE, Ariz. (www.TheSunDevils.com) -- Arizona State sophomore right fielder Travis Buck has been named the Pac-10 Player of the Week and Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week.

Buck (Richland, Wash.) had an impressive weekend at the plate going 10-for-12 (.833) with five doubles, one home run and 13 RBI in a three-game sweep of UConn. The sophomore outfielder went 4-for-5 while tying ASU's single-game record with four doubles in Saturday's 16-5 victory and came back the next day by going 5-for-5 with a career high eight RBI.

For the season, Buck is third on the team hitting .417 (20-for-48) with 17 runs scored, eight doubles, two home run and leads the team with 23 RBI. He also had a team-high 16 walks in helping the Devils to a 12-2 start to the season.

The Player of the Week honor is the second for Buck in his career and the 73rd selection all-time for ASU. Junior shortstop Dustin Pedroia and junior right-handed pitcher Jason Urquidez swept the Pac-10 awards last week. ASU hosts No. 18 East Carolina in a three-game series this weekend starting Friday at 7 p.m. at Packard Stadium.
