TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State women's soccer team will travel across the Atlantic Ocean for a two week, five-match tour of the United Kingdom, including stops in Scotland, the Midlands and London.
The tour, which begins July 24 and lasts through August 5, will include five matches against several of the top teams within the region.
The Sun Devils will first challenge two Scottish Premier League teams, the Hibernians and the Dundee LFC. Arizona State will then head to Wales to take on the Bangor City Ladies Premiership team. Game four will feature the toughest test for the Sun Devils when they challenge the Arsensal Lady Gunners, a perennial English Premiership powerhouse with many
English National team players in residence. The final match will pit Arizona State against the Fulham LFC, owned by El-Fayed, the chairman of the world renowned Harrod's.
In addition to the competition, the players and coaching staff will also get to see many of the famous sights around the area, including Edinburgh, Warwick and Windsor Castles. Other sightseeing places include
Manchester United Stadium, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abby, 10 Downing Street and the House of Parliament.
