INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The Arizona State women’s gymnastics team heads back to Corvallis, Ore. as the No. 5 seed in the NCAA West Regional, hosted by Oregon State on April 6 at 4 p.m. PT. This is the Sun Devils' 32nd NCAA Regional appearance under head coach John Spini.
ASU will join top-seed and fourth-ranked Georgia, No. 10 Oregon State, No. 16 Arkansas, No. 21 Boise State and California at the NCAA West Regional. The top 36 teams in the country qualify for the NCAA Regionals with the top-18 teams seeded on a national basis based on a team’s RQS score.
The NCAA office conducted a draw to determine the rotation order for the competition, which follows: Georgia begins on vault, Oregon State on a bye before uneven bars, Arizona State begins on the bars, California begins on the balance beam, Arkansas begins on a bye before floor exercise and Boise State begins on the floor.
The Gym Devils will make their second trip to Corvallis in two weeks as ASU just finished Pac-12 Championship competition, hosted by Oregon State. Finishing eighth in the conference, the Sun Devils look to improve on their previous performance and get a second chance on the same equipment in the same facility.
The Corvallis Regional begins at 4 p.m. PT with the top-two finishers advancing to the NCAA Championships, hosted by UCLA, April 19-21. Tickets for the regional meet can be purchased online as BeaverTickets.com, by calling 1-800-GO-BEAVS or at the OSU Ticket Office in room 107 of Gill Coliseum.
