Steve Webb
Position: Executive Director of Athletics Compliance
Experience: 2 Years
Webb joined Sun Devil Athletics in September 2011 as the Executive Director for Athletics Compliance. He is in charge of overseeing Arizona State University's Athletics Compliance Office, including the office's efforts to deter and detect violations of NCAA, Pac-12 Conference, and institutional athletics rules and regulations.

Webb came to ASU after spending six years in Indianapolis at the NCAA national office and its Eligibility Center. During his time at the Eligibility Center, Webb assisted in the creation of systems and procedures designed to process the certification requests of prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA amateurism legislation in addition to conducting high profile and elite athlete investigations. Webb originally joined the NCAA in 2005 as an assistant director of enforcement where he investigated and processed major infractions cases involving institutional violations of NCAA legislation.

Before the NCAA, Webb practiced law with the firm of Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago. Webb was a litigator in Kirkland's intellectual property group and his primary area of practice involved biotechnology and medical device patent litigation.

Webb graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law where he served as an Associate Editor on The Ohio State Law Journal and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

Before OSU, Webb obtained his bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Northern Illinois University, where he was also a baseball student-athlete. He was named NIU's Most Valuable Player in 1996 and earned Academic All-District honors that same year.

Webb has three children and resides in Phoenix.
