2009 (Sophomore):
Despite battling shoulder problems throughout the season, Schlagintweit still ranked second on the team in kills with 256 on the year and a 2.59 average per set... dominated in serving, leading the team with 32 service aces, five alone in ASU's match versus Wyoming on Sept. 19, tying her for fifth in ASU single-match history... was also a force on defense as she ranked third on the team in digs with 250 and sixth in total blocks with 57... also a phenomenal student where she was awarded by being named to the Pac-10 All-Academic First Team as well as the ESPN the Magazine All-District Second Team... competed again with the Canadian National Team over the summer.

2008 (Freshman):
Saw vast improvement over speed, strength and ball control throughout the season, earning her playing time in 17 matches...saw her serve become one of her strengths through the year with six service aces on the season...collected 26 kills on the season as well as 75 digs and eight block assists...was selected as a member of the Canadian National Team whom she competed with over the summer of 2009.

High School:
A 2008 graduate of Yale Secondary School in Abbotsford, BC...earned three varsity letters...captained the Yale Lions in 2006, 2007 and 2008...in addition to Yale, Schlagintweit also competed with fellow teammate Sonja Markanovich on the Fraser Valley Volleyball Club...her athletic awards include Provincial and National All-Star Team in 2007, the BC Athlete Leadership award in 2007, the Provincial MVP in 2008, and Yale Female Athlete of the Year in 2006 & 2007...in addition her work in the classroom also deserves notes as her accolades list nearly as long; Yale Principal Honours Role 2006-2008, service award (2007), University of Waterloo Avagadro 2007 Chemistry Award and a 2008 National Biology Scholar at the University of Toronto National Biology Competition...lists representing Canada as part of the Junior National team in Saltillo, Mexico as her most exciting sports moment.

A microbiology major... full name is Sofie Hanna Schlagintweit ... parents are Stefan (plastic surgeon) and Lisa (city planner) Schlagintweit of Abbotsford, BC...is the second of four with one older sister, Her a (20) and has a younger sister, Rosie (16) and brother Kristof (14)... also enjoys waterskiing, wakeboarding and skiing...born February 26, 1990 in Abbotsford, BC.
