Baca's quick glove and range of motion gave her a stellar .920 fielding percentage with 87 putouts and 73 assists on the season. At the plate, Baca hit .259, increasing her batting average a huge .039 from her sophomore year average of .220. Baca also hit a career-high eight home runs on the season to bring her career total to 15, including a three-RBI walk-off home run to top Cal State Fullerton on March 17. No stranger to hitting in pressure situations, Baca also hit another walk-off in the 2006 season, coming in the 11th inning against in-state rival, Arizona to beat the Wildcats for the first time since 2001. Rhiannon also had a career-hit 33 RBIs, while accumulating a .406 slugging percentage and drawing 35 walks. As solid in the classroom as she is on the field, Rhiannon was named to the 2007 Pac-10 All-Academic and ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII second teams.

The Flagstaff High graduate was a force on the high school diamond, earning Grand Canyon Region Softball MVP honors three times, as well as being a three-time honoree on the First Team All-State list. Baca holds the Flagstaff High School record for home runs in a single season with 11. The elementary education major was also a member of the National Honor Society and National Honor Roll in high school.
