TEMPE, Ariz.—The Arizona State sand volleyball team competed in its Maroon and Gold scrimmage on Friday afternoon in front of a crowd of 100 at the PERA Club, ASU’s new home facility.
“It was a great day,” head coach Jason Watson said. “We’ve been preparing for this for a long time and we’re very excited to play our first matches tomorrow in Tucson.”
The Sun Devils will partake in the Arizona Invite on Saturday in Tucson, facing Arizona Christian at Noon MT before seeing Pac-12 rival Arizona at 4 p.m. MT.
ASU’s first home match of the 2014 season is set for Wednesday, March 26 against Nebraska at 3 p.m. MT at the PERA Club.
