Sand Volleyball Wraps Up Competition At Pac-12 Invite

SANTA MONICA, Calif.—The Arizona State sand volleyball team wrapped up the pairs competition at the Pac-12 Invitational, hosted by USC on Sunday at the Annenberg Community Beach House.

The Sun Devil duo of Whitney Follette and Macey Gardner took down CSUB’s Lisa Bartsch and Julia Bowen, 21-19, 21-9, in the second round before they fell to the USC pairing of Kirby Burnham and Sara Hughes, 21-8, 21-12.

In the first round of the consolation bracket, Andi Lowrance and Nora Tuioti-Mariner picked up a 21-18, 21-18 win over teammates BreElle Bailey and Genevieve Priotte.

Up next, the Sun Devils will round out their inaugural season, hosting Pac-12 rival Arizona on Thursday at 3 p.m. PT at the PERA Club. One half of a Territorial Cup point is up for grabs in the match. ASU will then close out the slate by hosting Boise State on Friday at 4 p.m. PT.
