    Three Pitchforks of the Week

Bronze Pitchfork - Brittany Schuett (Gymnastics)
Schuett, a junior, scored a career-high 9.900 on her first vault of the year and her first since her freshman season. After tying for second in the vault and, with the gap narrowing between Washington and ASU, Schuett performed solidly in her floor routine, scoring a 9.850 to tie for the event win. The Sun Devils had to hit everything perfect on floor and they did, for an upset of No. 13 Washington, 195.750-195.450.

Silver Pitchfork - Kimberly Brandon (W. Basketball)
Brandon nearly averaged a double-double for the weekend (17.0 points, 9.5 rebounds) in helping lead ASU to wins at Washington (71-63 on Thursday) and at Washington State (55-47 on Saturday), ASU's first back-to-back wins since the first weekend of conference play. Brandon connected on 58 percent of her shot attempts (11-19) and 92 percent of her free throws (11-12) for the weekend. She was the only Sun Devil to score in double figures in Saturday's 55-47 win at Washington State as she scored 15 of her career-high 21 points in the second half. She also grabbed 10 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season and tied her career high with four steals. With ASU down 44-38, Brandon scored on a layup, which began ASU's 17-3 run over the last 5:32 of the game. She would score eight of ASU's points during the scoring run as she connected on both of her field goal attempts, all four of her free throw attempts and had two steals and two rebounds over the final five-plus minutes of the game.

Gold Pitchfork - Carlota Ciganda (W. Golf)
Ciganda took individual medalist honors at the Northrop Grumman regional challenge, winning the tournament two years after Sun Devil Juliana Murcia won the title in 2009. The All-American shot a 2-over 215 (73-70-72), two strokes ahead of second-place Natalie Sheary of Wake Forest. Ciganda led a young Sun Devil team to a second-place finish in Palos Verdes, including besting No. 2 UCLA. Ciganda's victory at the Northrop Grumman Regional Championship is the fourth in her collegiate career and first regular-season victory. Previously, Ciganda has medaled at the 2009 and 2010 Pac-10 Championships and the 2009 NCAA West Regional.
