TEMPE, Ariz. – After the Sun Devil men's and women's swim teams each improved to 3-0 with home wins over Denver last Saturday, ASU sweeps CollegeSwimming Pac-12 Swimmers of the Week honors as senior Alysha Bush and freshman Cameron Craig earn the accolades.
Bush was part of the women's free relay team that sealed a close victory for the Sun Devil women over Denver, finishing just three seconds ahead of Denver's A-team with teammates Claire Fisch, Ingibjorg Jonsdottir, and Kat Simonovic.
Individually, Bush also finished first in multiple events (50 and 100 free), achieving an NCAA B-standard time in both.
Craig continued the start of his impressive freshman campaign, winning the 100 and 200 free vs. Denver, also achieving a B-standard time in the 100-yard freestyle. He was also part of the men's 400-yard medley relay team that finished first in the first men's event of the day to start off an extremely strong meet on the men's side.
Following an undefeated start to the season, the men's squad moves into the top 10 in CollegeSwimming.com's NCAA DI national rankings while the women's side comes in at No. 19 this week.
