TEMPE -- Four Sun Devils scored in double-figures, as the Arizona State men's basketball team cruised to a 98-53 exhibition victory over visiting UC Santa Cruz Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena.
Paced by a game-high 23-point outing from senior guard Torian Graham, Arizona State finished shooting 46.1 percent (35-76) from the field, 37.9 percent (11-29) from beyond the arc, and 81 percent (17-21) from the charity stripe.
Senior forward Obinna Oleka (18), junior guard Tra Holder (15), and freshman guard Sam Cunliffe (15), also added double-digit scoring outputs.
Outrebounding UC Santa Cruz 53-37, the Maroon and Gold managed 20 second-chance points. Cunliffe led the effort on the boards with a game-high nine rebounds.
The Sun Devils who limited UC Santa Cruz to 37.1 percent (23-62) from the field, benefited from 23-2 run to end the first half, entering the break ahead 46-23.
The Sun Devils would then outscore the Banana Slugs 52-27 in the second half, culminating in a 98-53 victory.
