Benjamin Hannestad will play for both the singles and doubles ITA Southwest Regional titles in Malibu on Monday.

It was a #BeatLA day again for the @SunDevilMTennis team on Sunday as its doubles team of Benjamin Hannestad and Tim Ruehl took care of business in the semifinals of Malibu's 2017 ITA Southwest Regional Championship, held at both the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center and the Crest Tennis Courts and hosted by Pepperdine. Hannestad will do double duty and try to win the singles title as well on Monday.

Hannestad and Ruehl topped USC's Jack Jaede and Tanner Smith of USC 6-7 (4), 6-4, 10-6 and now will face Pepperdine's Lautaro Pane and Pedro Lamachkine on Monday. Hannestad -- who knocked off top-seeded and ITA No. 54 Logan Smith of USC in quarterfinal action Saturday -- beat Arizona's Alejandro Reguant-Bicardi on Sunday 6-4, 6-3 and will face Nicolas Moreno de Alboran of UCSB Monday.

No. 11 seed Michael Geerts topped third-seeded and No. 82 Jack Jaede of USC Saturday but withdrew from his match Sunday down 6-3, 3-0 against eighth-seeded Nicolas Moreno de Alboran of UCSB in the semifinals due to a wrist injury. Geerts ended the tournament 4-1.
