TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona State women's tennis team gets back to conference play on Friday, March 31, as they host No. 38 Oregon at Whiteman Tennis Center at 1:30 p.m. PT.
The Devils (9-5, 2-2) – who moved up to No. 42 in this week's ITA Team Rankings – are riding a two-match winning streak after 6-1 wins over both then-No. 42 UNLV and Northern Arizona a week ago.
"We are looking forward to getting back to Pac-12 play and finishing the season strong," said head coach Sheila McInerney. "We will have our hands full with Oregon as they are coming off a big win over USC and playing very well. The team realizes we will need to play well down the stretch and we are excited to get going."
The Ducks (10-6, 3-1) have won five of their last six with four of them coming against conference opponents. The only loss came two weeks ago against No. 20 UCLA, 4-1.
While ASU boasts three girls ranked in the top-100 in singles, Oregon does not have the same luxury. However, the lady Ducks do have two pairs in the doubles rankings.
Alyssa Tobita and Shweta Sangwan sit at No. 48 while Julia Eshet and Marlou Kluiving are at No. 66.
The singles and doubles rankings both have yet to change in the last week, as the next ranking will not be released until April 4.
Senior Alex Osborne and junior Nicole Fossa-Huergo remain at No. 58 on court one.
The doubles pair of senior Kassidy Jump and sophomore Sammi Hampton on court three has been on a tear for a majority of the season, winning 18 of their last 21 matches with just one loss. They're currently on a five-match winning streak.
