LOS ANGELES, Calif. – It's a carousel of events for the Sun Devil track and field team this weekend in California, as student-athletes will be competing in three separate meets in a matter of three days.

Distance athletes will be split up between the APU/Bryan Clay Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relays on Thursday and Friday, while the entire team will reunite for the Jim Bush Collegiate Invitational at UCLA on Saturday.

On Thursday evening, Courtney Lewis and Billie Jo Dytrt will start the three-day scramble in the Mt. SAC Relay women's 3,000-meter steeplechase at approximately 5:45 p.m. – the first heat will begin at 5:15 p.m., but Lewis and Dytrt are in the third heat.

Eight miles away and at 9 p.m., Megan Reniewicki and Brittany Alexander will compete in the women's 5,000-meter race in the second heat of the APU/Bryan Clay Invite.

Friday's pace picks up, as the twins, Kyle and Blake Elliott, run in the 800-meter run at 1:35 p.m. at the Azusa Pacific, followed by Kyle Shinn and Brandon Boys in the 1,500-meter race that evening at 7:35 p.m.

Almost simulataneously, Adriana Olivas will take off in the women's 5,000-meter event at the Mt. SAC Relays at 8:10 p.m., while Chelsey Albertson competes in the 1,500-meter race down the road in Azusa at 8:35 p.m. Albertson currently holds the sixth-best time in ASU history in the 1,500 meter at 4:20.24, which she clocked at the Baldy Castillo Invite.

The Devils become night owls on Friday, as Jenna Maack opens up her outdoor season by competing with Sam Ortega in the 5,000-meter race at the Mt. SAC Relays at 9:35 p.m., while John Reniewicki takes off at approximately 11 p.m. in the third heat of the men's 5k.

The Jim Bush Collegiate Invite includes Alabama, Texas A&M, UTEP and the Bruins. Field events begin at 8:30 a.m. with the women's hammer throw, while the track events kick off at 2:15 p.m. with the women's 4x100-meter relay.
