TUCSON, Ariz. – Playing a consistently strong game throughout the tournament, sophomore Linnea Strom dropped five strokes off her first two rounds with a 69 Wednesday to lead Arizona State individually in the 2017 Pac-12 Women's Golf Championships.

Strom followed her title last season with a top-three finish this season (217/+1), her team-leading seventh top-10 finish this year.

"It's like having three U.S. Open's in a row – conference, regionals, nationals – and they're all very important," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye. "I would rather some of our weaknesses show up a little bit now so we know what to work on."

Sophia Zeeb, who matched Strom's first round on Monday, finished just outside the top-20 with her second-lowest round of the tournament on day three. Olivia Mehaffey finished one place behind Zeeb, while Roberta Liti and Monica Vaughn joined Zeeb and Mehaffey with their second-lowest rounds of the three-day championships.

Four Sun Devils earned All-Conference accolades as Mehaffey, Vaughn, and Strom were named to the First Team while Zeeb was named Honorable Mention.

"Linnea had a beautiful tournament, and it was definitely a great defense of her championship last year; I'm very proud of her."

ASU finished sixth (895) while UCLA earned the team title, shooting two-under as the only team to shoot under par on the tournament. The Bruins' Lilia Vu earned individual medalist honors while her teammate Mariel Galdiano finished second, just two strokes ahead of Strom.

"We didn't achieve our goal and that's always disappointing, but I'm very proud of this team.  I feel like this is going to position us and motivate us to move in the right direction to focus and get ready for regionals and the national championships."

The Sun Devils will appear live on the Golf Channel Thursday morning (8-9 am PT) as they learn which of four regional sites they will be assigned – Scarlet Course/OSU Golf Course (Columbus, Ohio), The Rawls Course (Lubbock, Texas), University of Georgia Golf Course (Athens, Georgia), and University of New Mexico Championship Course (Albuquerque, N.M.).
