SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Nine Sun Devil Track & Field student-athletes were named to the Pac-12 first- or second-team All-Academic teams on Friday, announced conference Commissioner Larry Scott.
 
Three of the five perfect 4.00 GPA's on the women's first-team list were represented by the Maroon & Gold, with redshirt freshman Kaylee Antill and seniors Keyasia Tibbs and Ashley Weber boasting the conference's top academic performance.
 
All three made appearances at the NCAA Preliminary round in Austin, Texas, while Tibbs moved on to the NCAA Outdoor Championships and earned a Second-Team All-American honor. The senior jumper placed 13th in the triple jump.
 
It becomes the second-straight first-team honor for Tibbs, while Weber and Antill make the list for the first time. Weber was a second-team honoree in 2016.  
 
On the men's side, three Devils made the Pac-12 first-team list, including redshirt senior Blake Elliott (3.91), senior CJ Albertson (3.86) and redshirt sophomore Matt Eckles (3.68).
 
Both Albertson and Eckles made an appearance at the NCAA West Regional in the 3k steeplechase and pole vault, respectively. Eckles recorded his first Pac-12 title this season, winning the pole vault title for ASU. 
 
All three of them were named to the first-team list in 2016 as well.
 
An additional 13 were awarded honorable mention for their accomplishments in the classroom, including Chelsey Albertson, Jessica Barreira, Brooke Coltelli, Melanie Johnson, Athena Masolini, Courtney McCartney, Courtnee Oglesby, Anna Pruter and Darreyl Woodson. For the men, Brandon Boys, Jacob Flores, Mason Ford and Michael Titherington made the list.
