TEMPE, Ariz. – Sun Devil cross country announced their schedule for the 2017 season on Wednesday, in coordination with the Pac-12.

The 2017 schedule varies from past seasons, as the Devils add places like Stillwater, Okla., Minneapolis, Minn., and Louisville, Ky. to their destinations.

New head coach Jeremy Rasmussen keeps his team local for the first three weeks of the season, continuing the tradition of opening the season at the annual George Kyte Invitational on Sept. 2 in Flagstaff. They'll travel the opposite direction within the state two weeks later, as they head to Tucson for the Dave Murray Invitational on Sept. 15.

The Devils then make the trek to the Land of 10,000 Lakes for the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Sept. 23. ASU closes out the month of September in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where they'll run in the Cowboy Jamboree.

A week later, ASU returns home for the Mesa Thunderbird Classic on Oct. 7, followed by a trip back east for the Pre-National Invitational in Louisville on Oct. 14. This preludes the NCAA Championships which will be held at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville on Nov. 18.

The annual Arizona State Invitational, hosted by the Sun Devil cross country program, returns to Papago Golf Course on Oct. 20.

This year's Pac-12 Championships are hosted by the University of Oregon in Springfield, Ore. on Oct. 27. Pac-12 Networks will televise a tape-delayed broadcast of the championships on Monday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. PT.

The NCAA West Regionals will also be in the pacific northwest, as the University of Washington hosts in Seattle on Nov. 10.
