SAN FRANCISCO – National champion head coach Missy Farr-Kaye and NCAA individual medalist Monica Vaughn have been named Pac-12 Coach and Women's Golfer of the Year, as announced by the Pac-12 Conference Wednesday.

2017 marks just the third time in ASU women's golf's illustrious history that the program has earned both Pac-12 Coach and Golfer of the Year in the same season (also: 1993, 2007).

For Farr-Kaye, who has now won an NCAA title at Arizona State at three different levels – it's the completion of another trifecta, named Conference, Regional, and National Coach of the Year in 2017. She is the third coach from ASU to be named for the eighth all-time honor for the program, matching the program's nation-high eighth NCAA title earned this season.

Linda Vollstedt (1989, 1993, 1994, 1995) and Melissa Luellen (2006, 2007, 2009) have also received past Pac-12 Coach of the Year awards while at the helm of the Sun Devil program.

The honor caps a momentous senior season for Vaughn, who recently was named the Honda Award winner for women's golf, and is now in contention for the Honda Cup, awarded to one student-athlete from the Honda Award winners for 12 NCAA women's sports. She became the sixth NCAA individual medalist from Arizona State before helping lead the Sun Devils to a team title two days later.

Vaughn becomes the fifth Sun Devil to earn Pac-12 Golfer of the Year honors, first since 2012 (Giulia Molinaro), following Wendy Ward (1993), Louise Stahle (2005), and Anna Nordqvist (2007).

The All-Pac-12 teams were also re-released, after being awarded following April's Pac-12 championships, with Olivia Mehaffey, Linnea Strom, and Vaughn named to the First Team. Sophia Zeeb represented ASU on the Second Team.
