TEMPE, Ariz. – The reigning Pac-12 champion Arizona State wrestling team announces the addition of heavyweight Brady Daniel to the Sun Devils' incoming class.
 
A 2017 graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School (Olney, Md.), Daniel is a nine-time All-American (2x National Preps, 3x Fargo, 2x UWW, 2x NHSCA) for wrestling and served as a team captain in 2016-17. He received his school's 2017 Male Athlete of the Year Award for football, wrestling, and rugby.
 
Daniel finished second at National Preps in 2017 and third in 2016, both at 220 lbs, and won the Cadet Fargo National Championship (Greco Roman) in 2015 at 195 lbs. The 2016 UWW Greco Roman runner-up earned two Maryland (Independent Schools) state championships (2016-17), after winning a Maryland (Public Schools) championship in 2015 at River Hill.
 
A three-sport athlete, Daniel played middle and outside linebacker for his high school football team, totaling 300 tackles in 31 games in three seasons. In 2015, he had the fourth most tackles (50) on a nationally-ranked team and in 2016, he had the most tackles on the top-25 team, second most in the WCAC.
 
In 2014, he garnered Second Team All-County Linebacker accolades as a sophomore as well as receiving Honorable Mention from the Baltimore Sun.
 
Off the mat and field, he was named to the Maryland State Wrestling Association All-Academic Team three years straight (2015-17) and was a 2017 National Football Foundation Scholarship Nominee.
