PARIS, France – Arizona State wrestling volunteer assistant coach Haislan Garcia competed in Paris over the weekend at the Senior World Wrestling Championships, finishing 15th in the 65kg weight class of freestyle competition.
 
In his seventh appearance at Senior World Championships, Garcia, competing for Canada, earned a victory over North Korea's Kukgwang Kim by VPO1, 3-1 (5-5).
 
A three-time Olympian, Garcia has a longstanding history of international success as a nine-time Canadian National Champion and multiple-time Pan-American championship medalist.
