TAIPEI, Taiwan – With the Summer World University Games nearly complete, several current and recently graduated Sun Devils from swimming and diving found success in Taiwan over the last week.
 
Leading the pack, 2017 Arizona State alum and 2016 Rio Olympian Anna Olasz won gold for her native Hungary in the open water 10K on Sunday (2:04:12.2), nearly six seconds ahead of Italy's Giulia Gabrielleschi, who took silver.

Canadian Junior National Team member Ashley McCool competed in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive, with her best finish in the 3-meter springboard, advancing to the finals and finishing fifth.

Tadas Duskinas had his best finish as part of the Lithuanian 4x100m medley relay team that finished seventh. Newcomer Fanny Teijonsalo was part of a 15th place 4x100m free relay team from Finland that finished 15th and competed in multiple individual events including the 50 and 100 free, 50 and 100 back, and 50 and 100 fly.
 
The first chance to see the 2017-18 Sun Devils will be Friday, Oct. 6 as the teams have their annual Intrasquad meet at 3 p.m. at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center in Tempe.
