October is here, which means swimming/diving and wrestling is starting with football and soccer in the middle of their seasons. Cross Country hosts a pair of invitationals, and volleyball and hockey have a competitive home slate. Check out all the events hosted in October here. A total of 11 schools will visit ASU, eight of them from the Pac-12, as ASU hosts 22 events in 13 days of October.

THURSDAY, OCT. 5: SOCCER VS. UCLA (7 p.m.)
Head coach Graham Winkworth's team takes on top-ranked UCLA in midst of four straight matches against top-15 teams.

FRIDAY, OCT. 6: VOLLEYBALL VS. UCLA (8 p.m./Pac-12 Arizona)
Coach Tomasevic's squad begins a four-game stretch against the Bruins at 8 p.m. and will be shown on Pac-12 Networks. Random #ForkFact: Director of Volleyball Operations, Nellie Coleman, is a former UCLA setter and three time AVCA First Team All-American.

FRIDAY, OCT. 6: HOCKEY VS. UMASS-AMHERST
Coach Powers and the squad open up the season against UMass-Amherst. After dominating UMass-Amherst last season, the Sun Devils are looking to continue its winning streak alive against the Minutemen.

FRIDAY, OCT. 6: SWIM/DIVE INTRASQUAD MEET
The ASU swim teams will show off their preseason preparation in a competition format at their annual intrasquad meet. Random #ForkFact: Head coach, Bob Bowman, is the coach of the most decorated Olympian of all-time, Michael Phelps.

SATURDAY, OCT. 7: CROSS COUNTRY AT MESA THUNDERBIRD CLASSIC (MESA)
The cross-country team heads into its first local meet at the Mesa Thunderbird Classic. The women are ranked in the top ten regionally and the men had a strong showing at the Roy Griak Invitational in Tucson.
 
SATURDAY, OCT. 7: VOLLEYBALL VS. USC (6 p.m.)
The Sun Devils head back to the court to host the USC Trojans. The match against the Trojans will be live streamed on TheSunDevils.com.
 
SATURDAY, OCT. 7: HOCKEY VS. UMASS-AMHERST
Arizona State hockey plays UMass-Amherst for the second straight night in Tempe.
 
SUNDAY, OCT. 8: SOCCER VS. USC (1 p.m.)
ASU looks for redemption after coming up short against the Trojans last season. Prior to 2016, the Sun Devils had won five of the last eight matches against USC.

FRIDAY, OCT. 13: MILL MADNESS
The men's and women's basketball teams host Mill Madness for the second straight year in downtown Tempe.

FRIDAY OCT. 13: VOLLEYBALL VS. COLORADO (7 p.m./PAC-12 ARIZONA)
ASU hosts the Colorado Buffalos in their first season under Coach Tomasevic, as ASU topped the Buffaloes last season. The match starts at 7 p.m. and will be shown on Pac-12 Networks.
 
SATURDAY, OCT. 14: FOOTBALL VS. WASHINGTON
Defending Pac-12 Champion Washington visits Tempe on Family Weekend. The annual blackout event will also serve as the Hall of Fame Game with eight Sun Devils set to be inducted in the 2017 class.
 
SUNDAY, OCT. 15: VOLLEYBALL VS. UTAH (1 p.m./PAC-12 ARIZONA)
The Sun Devil's four home-game stretch comes to an end against the Utah Utes. ASU is looking for redemption after losing a hard-fought game against Utah last season. The contest against the Utes will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.
 
FRIDAY, OCT. 20: CROSS COUNTRY HOSTS ASU INVITATIONAL (KARSTEN GOLF COURSE/TEMPE)
Under first year head coach and ASU alumni Jeremy Rasmussen, the squad hosts their invitational. The Sun Devil women return in 2017 as the defending team champions, while the men were runners-up.

THURSDAY, OCT. 26: SOCCER VS. WASHINGTON STATE (7 p.m.)
ASU welcome Washington State to Tempe. The Sun Devils lead the all-time series against the Cougars 12-8-1 with neither team having scored more than two goals against the other since 2005.
 
THURSDAY, OCT. 26: MEN'S BASKETBALL VS. NORTHERN STATE (7 p.m./EXHIBITION)
Coach Bobby Hurley's squad will play Northern State in the first of two exhibition games, with the other game against Arizona Christian on Nov. 3.

FRIDAY, OCT. 27: VOLLEYBALL VS. STANFORD (8 p.m./PAC-12 ARIZONA)
The Sun Devils welcome reigning national champions and fourth-ranked Stanford to Tempe. The first serve is set for 8 p.m. and will be shown on Pac-12 Networks.
 
FRIDAY, OCT. 27: WRESTLING MAROON AND GOLD INTRASQUAD
The reigning Pac 12 champs and Pac 12 Coach of the year, Zeke Jones will be hosting the annual Maroon and Gold Intrasquad. Prelims will be held on Friday, Oct. 27. The Sun Devils return all five Pac-12 champions and NCAA competitors, including All-Americans Zahid Valencia and Tanner Hall, adding All-American Ryan Millhof (Oklahoma) and NCAA champion Jason Tsirtsis (Northwestern).

FRIDAY, OCT. 27: SWIM/DIVE VS. UTAH (4 p.m.)
ASU opens its home season against Utah in its third year under Bob Bowman as Olympic Trial Qualifiers and newcomers Erica Laning, Nora Deleske, and Grant House make their debuts. On the road last season, both the men's and women's teams defeated the Utes. 
 
SATURDAY, OCT. 28: WRESTLING MAROON AND GOLD INTRASQUAD
The Maroon and Gold Intrasquad concludes with Finals on Saturday, Oct. 28.

SATURDAY, OCT. 28: FOOTBALL VS. USC
Closing out the month of October with homecoming, ASU will host defending Rose Bowl champions USC. The game also marks the first "Stripe Out" of Sun Devil Stadium.

SATURDAY, OCT. 28: SWIM/DIVE VS. FLORIDA STATE (11 a.m.)
Coach Bowman and his team will be hosting Florida State. Last season, the Arizona State men and women's swim team were named the first and second most improved team in the nation.

SUNDAY, OCT. 29: VOLLEYBALL VS. CALIFORNIA (11 a.m./PAC-12 ARIZONA)
The Sun Devils cap off the month hosting the California Bears. ASU dominated the Bears in its two outings last season. The contest against the Bears will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.
 
SUNDAY, OCT. 29: SOCCER VS. WASHINGTON (1 p.m.)
The Sun Devils close out the season with their final home game against Washington. ASU is 7-9-4 in its all-time meetings against Washington. Last season, ASU came from behind to defeat the Huskies, 3-2 in double overtime.
