TEMPE, Ariz. - The No. 23 Arizona State women's swimming team wrapped up their home season at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center with a commanding victory over Northern Arizona. With a final score of 146-91, the Devils put the axe in the Lumberjacks in an impressive show of dominance the week before their final meet of the regular season.

The Sun Devils floored the competition from the get-go, opening the meet with four consecutive sweeps. ASU shut out the Lumberjacks in the 200 medley relay and the 1000, 200 and 50 freestyle events to jump out to an early lead of just before the first break.

The women kept the heat on NAU out of the pause as Cassie Morrice, Shannon Landgrebe and Caroline Kuczynski picked up their second victories of the day. Landgrebe notched a NCAA B-cut time of 54.65 in her first-place finish for the 100 backstroke, followed by a sub-five-minute run in the 500 free from Kuczynski. The Lumberjacks earned their first win of the afternoon behind Stirling Smith in the 100 breast before the second intermission.

Arizona State buried the axe with resounding wins in the final two events. Tristin Baxter won her second event, the 400 IM, with a time of 4:27.90. The Devils capped off the afternoon with a sweep in the 200 free relay as the B-squad barely finished ahead of the A-squad.

In the diving events, Morgan Weller cleaned up both the 3-meter and 1-meter competitions, placing first with scores of 352.58 and 312.98 respectively. Casper came in third in both

The Sun Devils will wrap up their regular season with a dual meet versus rival Arizona Wildcats on Feb. 9th in Tucson, Ariz.
