Three throwers, two distance runners and one sprinter will join the Arizona State program in in 2012-13.

Saylor joined the Arizona State University distance staff for the 2011-12 season and worked with women's distance head coach Ryan Cole with the mid- and long distance teams. Saylor will begin the 2012-13 season in her first hear as a full-time assistant coach with the program.

Saylor comes to ASU from the University of Washington where she competed for the cross country and long distance programs, helping the cross country team to the 2008 National Championship. Saylor will be a graduate assistant for the Sun Devils and will attend classes at the Mary Lou Felton Teachers College where she will be working on earning her Master's Degree in Special/Elementary Education.

While at Washington, Saylor posted a solid career as an undergraduate student-athlete though she was unfortunately hampered by injuries and illness during her final two seasons. Saylor earned a national title as part of the Husky cross country program, which claimed the 2008 crown at the NCAA Championships. As the team went undefeated through the season, Saylor only just missed earning All-American honors in finishing 41st overall at the meet. Saylor was a second-team All-Conference selection that year as well after finishing 12th at the Pac-10 Championships.

On the track, Saylor posted several successful marks in her career, posting the 9th-fastest 10,000-meter time in school history while also advancing to the NCAA West Regionals during her freshman and sophomore campaigns. As a freshman, Saylor finished sixth at the U.S. Junior Cross Country Championships and earned a spot on the U.S. team. As a member of the U.S. squad, Saylor competed at the World Junior Cross Country Championships, finishing 38th overall.

Saylor was born in Orange County, Calif., to Julie and James Saylor. She is the oldest of three siblings with a younger brother, Christian, and a younger sister, Cathryn.
