ASU Track and Field Post 46 Entries into NCAA West Preliminaries

The Sun Devils will have 23 entries on both the men's and women's sides at the first round of the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas

2011 Outdoor: Finished just outside of scoring at the Pac-10 Championships, placing 10^th in the 10,000m run in a personal-best time of 36:45.55... posted a 12-second personal-best in the 1,500m run by running 4:38.92 at the Sun Angel Track Classic... also lowered her time in the 3,000m run at the Double Dual... selected to the Academic All-Pac-10 First Team... 2011 Indoor: Did not compete... 2010 XC: Ran in two races... placed ninth at the ASU Invitational and 21^st at the Dave Murray meet... 2010 Outdoor: Posted a personal-best time of 10:27.77 in the 3,000m run at the Double Dual... also ran a best of 4:51.93 in the 1,500m run at the Sun Angel Track Classic... selected to the Academic All-Pac-10 First Team... 2010 Indoor: Did not compete... 2009 XC: Ran in three races with a pair of Top 6 placements... took fifth at the ASU Invitational and was sixth at the George Kyte Invitational... also placed 25^th at the Dave Murray Invitational... earned Academic All-Pac-10 Second Team honors... 2009 Track: Redshirted... 2008 XC: Redshirted... competed in three races unattached from the program... took fourth at the Mesa Thunderbird Invitational and ninth at the Joe Uff/ASU Invitational... also was 19^th at the Dave Murray Invitational.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Mountain Pointe High School (Phoenix)... lettered in track & field four times and cross country three times... served as the cross country team captain as a senior... ran for former Sun Devils Geoff Owers and Kris Alexander... in cross country, team won the state title in 2005... earned all-state honors in 2006 and 2007 and was an all-city selection in 2007... earned all-state honors on the track in the 800m (2008), 1600m (2006, 2007, 2008), 3200m (2007, 2008) and 4x800m (2006, 2007, 2008)... added four all-region and three all-city honors... member of the National Honor Society, Language Honor Society and was president of Mu Alpha Theta... named AP Scholar... Kiwanis Club Recognition of Service Award.
