Houlihan Clocks Fastest Time in School History, Men Take 21st in Wisconsin
In the Sun Devil cross country teams' biggest race of the season, the team answered the call in at the Wisconsin adidas Invite.
Arizona State:Outdoor 2012:Ran a personal best of 16:41.70 in the 5,000m run, placing 10th at the Mt. Sac Invitational and advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary Round as a result of the finish...Indoor 2012:Ran a personal best of 9:43.74 at 3,000m, placing 6th at the A&M Challenge...XC 2011:Was the second-fastest finisher for ASU at the Pac-12 Conference Championships in 20:49.00 and finished 27th overall... Was the team's third-best finished at the NCAA Championships... Took third at the U.S. Junior Cross Country Championships...
High School: A 2011 graduate of Buchanan High School (Clovis, Calif.)... lettered four times each in cross country and track & field... ran a time of 10:22.67 in the 3,200m run to record the No. 17 time in the nation among high school runners during her senior year... also posted a time of 4:53.73 in the 1,600m run to rank among the Top 50 in the U.S. in 2011... finished among the Top 10 in the state cross country championships, including seventh in 2010 and fifth in 2011... won five conference titles, including two in cross country, two in the 1,600m run and one in the 3,200m run... added six league titles as well... 2011 Buchanan Female Athlete of the Year, Buchanan Bear Award and U.S. Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award recipient.
