2003 Outdoor: Led the team in the 1,500m run and earned a spot in the event at the NCAA West Region meet where he placed 13th (3:48.47) …opened the year with a runner-up finish at the Baldy Castillo Invitational…placed 10th at the Pac-10 Championships with a ninth-place finish in the preliminary rounds of the meet…also competed in the 800m run and was the runner-up at the Bill Sawyer Invitational…garnered honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic accolades… 2003 Indoor: Ran the mile twice finishing with the third-fastest time on the team at 4:12.89…his top time earned him ninth at the Pac-10 Invitational…also placed eighth at the Boise State Invitational (4:20.77)… 2002 XC: Ran in five races…best time was a 25:18 at the Pac-10 Championships where he finished 41st…finished seventh on the team at the NCAA West Region meet with a 32:48 (72nd place)…scored for the team with a 100th-place finish at the Pre-National meet as the fifth Sun Devil across the finish line…earned honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic honors… 2002 Outdoor: Set his personal best time (3:47.84) in the 1500m at the Pac-10 Championships where he finished sixth…placed third in the same event at the UA/NAU Double Dual and fourth at the Oregon Invitational…his Pac-10 time was third on the team last year and the best among returnees for 2003…earned Academic All-Pac-10 Honorable Mention…named to the Maroon and Gold Student-Athlete list for both cross country and track… 2002 Indoor: Ran twice, once in the 800m and once in the mile…was nearly a second off of his personal bests in both races…finished fifth at the UA/NAU Double Dual in the 800m (1:56.15), the second-fastest time turned in on the team…helped the distance medley team take second at the Double Dual and eighth at the Iowa State Classic… 2001 XC: Placed 231st at the NCAA Championships (33:00), 83rd at regionals (34:10.6) and 41st at the Pac-10 Championships (26:29.5)…team's fourth highest finisher at the UC Irvine Invitational (13th, 26:20.4) and the Roy Griak Invitational (103rd, season-best 25:42.2)…Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention selection… 2001 Outdoor: Placed fifth in his preliminary heat of the 800m at the Pac-10 Championships (season-best 1:52.74)…took second in the 800m (1:53.89) at the UA/NAU Double Dual…placed second in the 1500m (3:57.78) at the Bill Sawyer Invitational…recorded season best in the 1500m (3:57.36) and personal-best in the 3000m (8:53.67)… 2001 Indoor: Notched an indoor personal best in the 800m (1:55.63), placing third at the NAU Invitational…took fourth in the mile (4:10.45 alt.adj.) at the UA/NAU Double Dual… 2000 XC: Competed in three races, placing a season best 17th (26:44.2) at the UC Irvine Inv.…also ASU’s sixth-highest finisher at the Roy Griak (25:27, 73rd) and fourth-highest finisher at the NCAA Pre-National Inv. Graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School…two-time all-state performer in cross country and track...three-time All-5A-South in cross country and track...Southern Arizona Runner of the Year in 1999 when he won the South Region cross country title...set school records in the 800m and 4x800m.
