ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Arizona State University cross country freshman Macy Bricks took third place at the 2012 USA Junior Cross Country Championships on Saturday in St. Louis, Mo.

Bricks, a steady contributor in the Sun Devils run to the 2011 NCAA Cross Country Championships, finished the 6,000-meter course in 21:10.1 – just under six seconds out of first place.

The finish earned the Clovis, Calif., native a qualification as part of the United States Junior National team for the 2012 NACAC Cross Country championships.  The event is slated to take place on March 17 in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
