No. 16 ASU Baseball Earns Series Win Over Washington With 8-4 Victory
The Sun Devils have won 12 consecutive Pac-12 conference home games
2012 (Senior): Made 18 appearances in relief and went 2-0...earned Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention honors...graduated in the spring with a B.S. in Health Sciences (Health Policy) with a 3.17 cumulative GPA...earned his first win of the season after allowing one unearned run on two hits in one inning vs. Arizona April 17...picked up his second win of the year after scattering one hit across 2.2 scoreless innings vs. Utah May 6...pitched a season-high 2.2 innings vs. both Utah on May 6 and at Arizona May 27.
2011 (Junior): Appeared in 14 games out of the bullpen...missed the middle of the season with an arm injury...finished the year 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in 18.0 innings...also recorded a save.
Junior College: A 2010 graduate of South Mountain Community College...compiled a 14-3 record on the mound in his two years, striking out 125 hitters...left South Mountain with a 3.06 career ERA.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Hayden High School...earned four varsity letters in both baseball and football...was a two-time team captain in baseball and once in football...2007 Arizona 2A Player of the Year in baseball...twice earned All-Region honors...played in the AZBCA All-Star Game in 2008...also an All-Conference and All-Region football player.
Personal: Parents are Alfonso and Laura Lopez...has an older brother and a younger sister...enjoys hunting and fishing...lists future Hall of Famer Ken Griffey, Jr. as his favorite player...says his favorite movie is Dumb and Dumber...born March 20, 1990...full name is Joseph Alfonso Lopez.
