    2011 (Sophomore): Continued to be one of the best players on the field, earning Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year honors and First Team All-Pac-10...is the second Sun Devil to ever win Defensive Player of the Year, joining Eric Sogard (2007)...also was named ABCA Second Team All-West Region, Second Team Academic All-Pac-10 and Second Team Academic All-District VIII...hit .315 (69-219) with two homers and 20 RBI...started 54 games at shortstop...scored 33 times and also stole 10 bases...hit 14 doubles and three triples...played on the Team USA National Collegiate Team and for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod League during the summer...led Team USA with his 19 hits and 14 RBI in 14 games...was named a Cape Cod League All-Star.

    2010 (Freshman): Had a dominant freshman season, earning First Team Freshman All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball and Second Team honors from the NCBWA...was an Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 selection...appeared in 42 games, starting 37 at mostly shortstop or DH...set an ASU freshman record with his team-leading .397 batting average (62-156)...hit 12 doubles, three triples and six homers...drove in 42 runs...slugged .628...also stole 11 bases...was named to the All-Tempe Regional Team...had the game-winning walk-off single in the 12th inning of Game One of the Tempe Super Regional against Arkansas...scored the game-winning run in Game Two of the Super Regional on Drew Maggi's home run.

    High School: A 2009 graduate of American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida...served as team captain of the American Heritage baseball team in 2008 and 2009...was named All-State and All-County in 2008, when American Heritage won both the Florida State title and the National title.

    MLB Draft: Was a 17th round selection (509th overall) of the Cincinnati Reds in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft.

    Exploratory major...mother is Dalyn Nye of Davie, Florida...has two sisters, Lauren and Brittany...his cousin Chris plays for the Washington Nationals, while his cousin Christian is in the White Sox organization...chose ASU because of the tradition of the baseball program...says his favorite team is the Florida Marlins...born August 25, 1990 in Miami, Florida.
