BELLINGHAM, Wa. - Arizona State baseball players Rouric Bridgewater, Nathaniel Causey and Jake Peevyhouse have been added to the Bellingham Bells 2012 roster. The Bells are a summer, wood bat, collegiate baseball team that plays in the West Coast League.

Bridgewater, a native of Pomona, Calif., and graduate of Diamond Ranch High School, is a freshman infielder for the Devils. As a junior in high school in 2010, Bridgewater set school records with 10 home runs and a .580 batting average.

"Rouric is a very talented first baseman with a bright future ahead of him," Bells assistant coach Bill Calkins says. "We will see excellent run production from him this summer."

Causey, who is from Gilbert, Ariz., and attended Gilbert High School, is a freshman catcher at ASU. A 6-foot 2-inch left-handed hitter, Causey batted .493 during his senior year while slugging 14 home runs. That outstanding season resulted in him being drafted in the 46th round of the 2011 MLB Draft, but he chose to go to school and be a Sun Devil.

"Nate is a brick-house stopper behind the dish," Bells head coach Gary Hatch says. "Our pitchers will love pitching to this guy. He is another hardcore and durable competitor who can hit with power."

Peevyhouse, a Phoenix, Ariz., native and Pinnacle High School graduate, is a freshman outfielder for the Sun Devils. During his time at Pinnacle, he earned four varsity letters in baseball while also making the All-State team.

"Jake has turned some heads already as a freshman outfielder during fall ball for the Sun Devils," Hatch says. "He'll be one of our main contributors offensively as a tough left handed hitter who makes things happen on the base paths."

The Bells play their home games at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham and their field staff includes Hatch (Head Coach), Jim Clem (Assistant Coach/Pitching) and Calkins (Assistant Coach). Former Bells players who have spent time in Major League Baseball include: Jeff Francis (Colorado Rockies), Kevin Richardson (Texas Rangers), Ty Taubenheim (Toronto Blue Jays) and Marc Rzepczynski (St. Louis Cardinals).
