The Sun Devils got back on track with a 81-70 win over Washington State. Ty Abbott added 18 points and nine rebounds while ASU advanced to 16-7, 6- 4 in conference.

Eric Boateng put down 13 points and got eight boards while Derek Glasser, who had shot 26.5 percent in conference play entering the game, was perfect from the field and added 15 points. ASU shot 56.6 percent from the field.

"It was a huge game for our confidence," senior guard Derek Glasser said. "We wanted to start off the second half of the conference season on a high note, and our guys came out and performed well."

Washington State's offense came from Klay Thompson who put down 20 points. A late 25-10 drive fueled by freshman Reggie Moore brought a 19 point deficit to within four with just over seven minutes to play. With a late three from Glasser and the inside play of Ty Abbott, the Sun Devils were able to hold on for the victory. With their third straight loss, the Cougars moved to 14-8, 4-6 in conference play.

"They did a great job coming back, and their crowd really gave them a lot of energy," Sendek said. "But at that point I thought our guys really locked arms and found a way to stem the tide."

Jamelle McMillan returned to the Sun Devil line-up for the first time in four games due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot.

The Sun Devils had lost three straight in Pullman, Washington.
