    ABOUT THE 4-0 START
    The Sun Devils are 4-0 for the fifth time in the past 28 seasons. ASU also started 4-0 in 2009-10, 2008-09, 2005-06 and 1994-95. ASU has not started 5-0 since 1985-86. ASU leads the series with Creighton 4-2, but the teams have not met since a 77-64 Sun Devil home win on Jan. 19, 1974. ASU was in the WAC at the time and the ASU leading scorer that season was current Memphis Grizzlie head coach Lionel Hollins (17.3 ppg.). ASU will try to win an in-season neutral tournament for the first time since Bill Frieder's Sun Devils beat Texas A&M, No. 16 Michigan and No. 7 Maryland en route to the 1994 Maui Invitational title. Creighton (5-0) and ASU are two of the 43 remaining unbeaten teams left as of dawn on Nov. 24.

    VS. RANKED TEAMS
    Coach Sendek has 36 career wins against ranked foes in his 20-year career. From 1995-1996 until 2005-2006 (11 seasons), ASU went 5-66 against ranked foes. In his seven seasons under Herb Sendek, ASU has seven wins against ranked teams, five of them at home.

    JAW-(HE) DROPPING NUMBERS EARLY
    Freshman Jahii Carson's impact on ASU's speed on offense is obvious when you watch the game but also when you pull up the stat sheet. He is averaging 18.8 points and has 18 assists, but has also put himself at the free throw line 38 times in four games (27-of-38/.711). And check out this note...ASU averaged 46.4 field goal attempts per game last year. Through four games this year, it is at 58.25.

    SOME NOTES ON HERB'S SCORING
    ASU enters the Creighton game averaging 80.8 points per game. In Coach Sendek's final five seasons at NC State (2001-2006), his team's averaged 73.7 points per game (192 games) including 75.4 points per game in 2001-02. His final team at NC State averaged 74.5 points per game. How does that 74.5 points per game from 2005-06 compare to the current Pac-12? It would have been the third-highest scoring team in the Pac-12 in each of the past two seasons.

    JORDAN HAS ANOTHER HUGE REBOUNDING NIGHT
    Junior Jordan Bachynski matched his career-high with 13 rebounds vs. Arkansas. He also had 13 boards vs. Washington on Jan. 26, 2012. He posted his third career double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Dating to last season, he is averaging 10.8 points, 2.9 blocks and shooting .644 (65-of-101) from the field in the past 17 games.

    COLVIN CONTINUES TO PLAY WELL OFF THE BENCH
    Dating to last year senior Chris Colvin is averaging 9.2 points and 4.8 assists in his past 19 games. He is averaging 10.8 points on the year and shooting 15-of-29 (.517) from the field.

    CARRICK WITH SIXTH 20-POINT GAME
    Senior Carrick Felix posted his sixth 20-point game and notched a career-high with his 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting vs. Arkansas. He hit a career-best four three-pointers in just 27 minutes.

    GILLING AND ABLE TO REBOUND
    Sophomore Jonathan Gilling posted 13 rebounds vs. Arkansas and now has 40 on the year after grabbing just grabbing just 54 all of last season. He is averaging 9.8 points and 10 rebounds per game through four games.

    TOUGH TO SCORE
    In his 610-game head coaching career, only three teams have scored 100 points against Herb Sendek. No team has posted triple digits against a Sendek-led team in the past 336 games. The last team to do it was top-ranked Duke on Feb. 14, 2002 (108-71 at Cameron).

    BACK TO THE BLOCKS
    A couple of notes on ASU's 38 blocked shots this year, 26 by Jordan Bachynski (AKA Jordan BLOCKhinyski)...that is one block by Jordan per every 9.73 opponent shots...Bachynski is averaging 6.5 blocks. The NCAA record is 6.5 held by Shawn James of Northeastern in 2006 (196/30 games)...ASU had 11 blocks in each of its first three games, the most since it had 13 vs Washington on Jan. 9, 2003...ASU blocked 123 shots last year the most since the 2003 team swatted 139.

    STOLEN FROM THE CREIGHTON GAME NOTES
    Thanks to Creighton for these good nuggets on Sun Devil/Creighton connections...Gregory Echenique has been the starting center on the Venezuelan National Team each of the past two summers, where the team narrowly missed qualifying for the 2012 London Olympics. Echenique's head coach on those teams was Eric Musselman, who is currently an assistant with Arizona State...Doug McDermott spent two months in the summer of 2011 as a teammate of Jahii Carson on the US Men's U-19 National Team that traveled to Lithuania and Latvia. Other players on that team include the NBA's Jeremy Lamb and Meyers Leonard, as well as current college standouts Tim Hardaway Jr., Keith Appling, Tony Mitchell, Patric Young and Joe Jackson...ASU guard Chris Colvin played the 2009-10 season at Iowa State for then-Cyclone head coach Greg McDermott, averaging 3.0 points and 1.0 assists per game as a true freshman.
