HIGH SCHOOL: A 2011 graduate of Chaminade College Prep in West Hills, Calif. ...3 year varsity starter.... as a senior was captain and earned Chaminade's Defensive Player of the Year award... also earned All Mission League and All CIF honors.. Named to California's Southern Section all area team.... Selected to the Sports Scholarships USA Southern Section All Star team as a starting defensive end. Was key component of Chaminade team that made it to the semi-finals in the strong CIF Southern Section Division playoffs. As a senior defensive end had 79 tackles (42 solo), 6 sacks, 2 fumbles caused, and 1 fumble recovered. Also played offense as tight end (with 1 reception for a touchdown) and special teams. Had a season high 9 tackles on two occasions, one of which was in the game against rival Notre Dame, helping to lead Chaminade to its first victory against Notre Dame in 18 years. Had 3 sacks in the rivalry game against Serra. As a junior, was starting outside linebacker.... had 89 tackles (40 solo), 2 interceptions and 2 sacks. Also, played varsity baseball in high school (earning Offensive Player of the Year and the Coaches Award for Leadership during his years on the team). Coached by Ed Croson at Chaminade.
