ASU: Five-year member of the Sun Devil football team...three-year letterman...appeared in 14 games, making nine starts...versatile offensive lineman who could play either guard position, as well as tackle...made starts at both tackle and guard...graduated in fall 2011 with a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology.

Eastern division, an award rarely presented to an offensive lineman...ranked as the No. 31 offensive guard in the nation, the No. 1 guard in the state of California and the No. 3 guard in the west region by Scouts, Inc....regarded as the No. 60 player overall in the Farwest in the preseason by SuperPrep...ranked as the No 82 player overall in the west by Scout.com...listed as the No. 36 offensive guard in the nation by Scout.com...regarded as the No. 57 offensive guard in the nation and the No. 3 guard in the state of California by Rivals.com...a weight room standout, he can bench press 405 pounds, squat 555, power clean 290 and has a 27-inch vertical leap...highly-regarded for his physical and tenacious style of play...was a main contributor in the effort of running back Toby Gerhart (now with Stanford) breaking the California state career rushing record...a one-time Colorado commitment, Tello also chose ASU over Arizona, Colorado State, Hawaii, Louisville, Oregon State and Washington...coached by Todd Gerhart at Norco High School.
