Sun Devil Athletics Announces Season Ticket Prices For 2012 Football Season

    April 6, 2012

2012 Sun Devil Football Season Ticket Pricing Map

TEMPE, Ariz. — Sun Devil Athletics has announced the sale of season tickets, as well as a renewal period for current season ticket holders, for the upcoming 2012 Arizona State University football season. The Sun Devils play six home games this season, including a rematch with Big Ten opponent Illinois (Sept. 8) and a conference matchup against 2011 Pac-12 Champion Oregon (Oct. 18).

To reward current season ticket holders, Sun Devil Athletics provides a loyalty discount in comparison to new 2012 season ticket holder pricing. Current Sun Devil season ticket holders have until Friday, May 18 to renew season tickets to receive their loyalty discount and to retain their current seat location. Payment plans are available for all season ticket holders.

By purchasing season tickets fans receive an average saving of 26.8% compared to single-game ticket prices.

Season tickets for the 2012 season range from $120 to $1770 for current season ticket holders and $120 to $1850 for new season ticket holders. The price range of 2012 season tickets has only marginally changed since 2009 when the range was $99-$1800.

Compared to season ticket prices across the country, the entry-level price of $120 for a Sun Devil football season ticket is one of the best values in the nation and within the Pac-12 Conference. Nationally, an ASU season ticket is the second-best value out of all football teams ranked in the final 2011 AP top-25 poll. Within the Pac-12, ASU is tied with Colorado for the least expensive ticket among all 12 schools.

Season ticket holders receive benefits as part of their season ticket package, including an exclusive season ticket holder gift, sitting in the same seat for all home games, the ability to purchase additional tickets before the general public at a 50% discount (limit to number of tickets in account), the ability to purchase season parking, access to exclusive season ticket holder events and behind-the-scenes tours, and priority on Bowl game and away game tickets, including the Pac-12 Championship Game if hosted by Arizona State University. Some season tickets have a Sun Devil Club contribution, which goes to support student-athletes and also provides a competitive advantage for Sun Devil Athletics. This portion is tax-deductible and includes membership in the Sun Devil Club.

Sun Devil Athletics is in the planning stages of a massive project to rebuild Sun Devil Stadium, while keeping it in its iconic location between the buttes. In preparation for the renovation of Sun Devil Stadium, some sections have been reclassified.

The sale of football tickets help fund all 21 varsity men’s and women’s athletic programs at Arizona State.

“We want to continue to make our games accessible to a broad audience,” Sun Devil Athletics associate athletic director Steven Hank said. “We are also taking significant measures to improve customer service for season ticket holders and to enhance their overall experience before, during, and after our events.”

In an effort to build longstanding relationships with its fans, ASU has hired 10 new full-time personal ticket service consultants and created the Sun Devil Athletics VIP season ticket holder service line to assist season ticket holders with any questions or concerns and give personal attention to their needs.

Individuals interested in renewing current season tickets or purchasing new season tickets can do so by calling the VIP season ticket holder service line at (480) 965-5333, visiting www.sundeviltickets.com, or in person at the Sun Devil Ticket Office during normal business hours.

Arizona State opens the 2012 football season against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at Sun Devil Stadium. The Spring Game is at Sun Devil Stadium on April 21.
