TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State punter Josh Hubner has been named College Football Performance Awards Bowl Subdivision National Punter of the Week for week eight. Defensive lineman Davon Coleman and tight end Chris Coyle also earned recognition following the Sun Devils' loss to Oregon on Oct. 18.
Hubner punted four times for a total of 212 yards, including a long of 57 yards. He averaged 53 yards per kick and pinned one inside the 20.
Four times (once in each of the first two quarter, twice in the third quarter) Hubner was able to flip the field on Oregon. He punted from inside his own 35-yard line and was able to push the Ducks inside their own 30-yard line, including his final 57-yard punt that put the Ducks at their own 9-yard line.
Coleman was selected as an Honorable Mention Defensive Lineman of the Week after he recorded nine tackles, including eight solo and two tackles for loss. He had a 5-yard sack and also recovered a fumble on the second play of the game to set up the Sun Devils' first touchdown of the night.
Coyle was named an Honorable Mention Tight End of the Week following his team-high seven receptions for 56 yards. He picked up a 19-yard catch on the first play of the fourth quarter and remains the team leader in both receptions with 35 and receiving yards with 442.
This was the second Performance Award of the season for Coyle and the first for both Coleman and Hubner.
