TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State University punter Josh Hubner has accepted an invitation to play in the 88th East-West Shrine Game, which will be held on Jan. 19 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. The NFL Network will televise the game, with kickoff slated for 2 p.m. MT.

Hubner will also compete in the Casino Del Sol College All-Star Game, held in Tucson, Ariz., at Kino Stadium. It will be carried nationally on ESPN3.

Hubner is currently ranked third in the nation and first in the conference with 47.1 yards per punt, which would also give him the school's single-season record (46+ attempts). An All-Pac-12 second team honoree, he has 19 punts pinned inside the 20 this season and leads the conference with 20 punts of 50 or more yards. He has 5,013 career punting yards for an average of 44.0 yards per kick, which would place him second all-time in school history.

Hubner, who is just the second punter in school history to be named a Ray Guy Award semifinalist, also earned All-America honors from both Sports Illustrated and Lindy's, as well as second team All-Pac-12 recognition from Phil Steele. He was named the Babe Alex Demon Special Teams MVP at the team's Award Banquet on Dec. 8.

Three former Sun Devil players are members of the East-West Shrine Game Hall of Fame, including running back Charley Taylor (inducted in 2009), safety Mike Haynes (2006) and linebacker Pat Tillman (2005.
